Here's will your clear all doubt about rhino 3D and rhino zoo software

What is Rhino 3D good for?

Rhinoceros is used for computer-aided design (CAD), computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), rapid prototyping, 3D printing and reverse engineering in industries including architecture, industrial design (e.g. automotive design, watercraft design), product design (e.g. jewelry design) as well as for multimedia and graphic design.

Is Rhino 3D easy to learn?

Image result for rhino 3d Rhinoceros 3D is a widely used computational design software that has become huge in the design industry. Rhino software is reasonably easy to learn, and for that, it is loved by beginners and experts alike.

One of the most popular 3D modeling software for manufacturers is Rhinoceros 3D, also known as Rhino. Based on NURBS (Non-Uniform Rational Basis Splines) geometry, this surface modeling software is commonly used for architecture, prototyping, engineering, jewelry and industrial, graphic, naval and automotive design.

Rhino does curves beautifully and can create much more complex geometry than Sketch-Up. It has a plugin called Grasshopper which can produce astonishing results. Hover, this is as much about programming as it is about design. Rhino can also read and write Sketch-Up files, so you can use Sketch-Up models with it.

What is Rhino Zoo Software?

The Zoo is a Network License Manager which allows Rhino for Windows and/or Rhino for Mac users to Float/Share their licences on their network.

How do I use the rhino zoo?

If Rhino is already installed, run Rhino and click Rhino → Preferences → Licenses, and then click Change your license key. Then, select Use LAN Zoo and then specify the name of your Zoo server. When installing Rhino, select Use LAN Zoo and then specify the name of your Zoo server.

The Zoo is a Network License Manager which allows Rhino for Windows and/or Rhino for Mac users to Float/Share their licences on their network. The same network tool supports Flamingo and Bongo licenses, plus some plug-ins from 3rd party developers such as maveric.

The Rhino Zoo Software is typically used where there are multiple licences being shared across multiple workstations. When a workgroup node starts, it sends a request for a license key to the Zoo. If there are unused license keys available, a key is assigned to the workstation. When a node shuts down, the key is returned to the Zoo's available license pool.

Features of the Rhino Zoo software include:

  1.          No special server hardware is needed. The Zoo will run on any Windows system in the same network workgroup
  2.          No special versions of Rhino, Flamingo, or Bongo are needed
  3.          Very little administration is required. The license keys are typed into the Zoo instead of on individual systems
  4.          A workgroup can have a mix of network licences managed by the Zoo plus standalone licenses if required
  5.          Rhino license keys can be checked out so laptop users can disconnect from the network. The key can be checked in again when the laptop is re-connected to the network
  6.          Workgroup nodes will keep working even if the network connection or server is down, but workgroup nodes cannot start up without access to the Zoo
  7.         The Zoo 6 works with Rhino Educational LAB Licences but not Rhino Educational Single Licences
